Rongai Route – the easiest ways to reach the summit successfully of Mountain Kilimanjaro

Overview

Rongai Route begins on the mountain’s north side, near the Kenyan border. It’s not as
crowded as other routes, making it a special and less busy choice. When you come
down from the mountain, you’ll follow the Marangu Route on the south side. This gives
climbers different and stunning views of the mountain. The journey to the trailhead takes approximately 3 hours from Moshi town, passing through picturesque villages and coffee plantations. You’ll also stop to register your climbing permits at Marangu, a
mandatory step.
