After a hearty breakfast, your day unfolds with an extensive game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Lunch will be a picnic enjoyed at a scenic spot along the way. Depending on the season, you may be fortunate enough to witness the grand spectacle of the great migration, with thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles on the move. During the short rainy season from October to November, these herds journey from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the Serengeti’s northwest to the southern plains. In the longer rainy season from April to June, they return northward. The timing of this remarkable event is closely tied to annual rainfall patterns, but your expert guide will ensure you witness it from the best vantage points. The migration, in turn, attracts predators, and with luck, you may witness a thrilling hunt in action. Another night of rest awaits you at the Kati ..(accomodation)Kati Tented Camp.

Note: Travelers visiting from January to mid-March will stay at the Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp, located closer to the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the Ndutu Area. This strategic location increases your chances of encountering the famous migration, as the herds may traverse either the Serengeti or Ngorongoro side during this period.

Lunch will be a picnic at a designated spot along the way. Upon reaching the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking expanse of this 19-kilometer-diameter caldera. An adventurous descent takes you into the crater, a World Heritage Site home to over 25,000 animals, including a rich diversity of bird species, hyenas, and the famed “Big Five.” Exiting the crater via a different route, you’ll continue your journey to Karatu in the Ngorongoro highlands, where you’ll spend the night at one of the three enchanting Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure Lodges..
